At Underhill Stables we offer Horsemanship, Dressage and Hunter/Jumper.

We teach all of our students from a young age that there is more to horses than just riding. We promote proper Horsemanship and handling that includes looking after the horse. Grooming, tacking and teaching them the skills to become great horse people.

Are you looking for more than just your average lesson barn?

Underhill Stables has taken it to the next step, ensuring all of our riders are reaching their goals. We have joined Global Equestrian who is a level based curriculum. So you know you are getting the most out of each lesson. We are teaching the importance of proper Horsemanship, Dressage and Jumping.

We understand that each rider has different learning styles, strengths and weakness.  We focus on working with each student to help them reach their goals. We stress on teaching a strong foundation working on balance and safety.  This creates a stronger, safer rider that builds the confidence while moving up the levels.

We have many opportunities for all of Underhill's students. We host schooling shows, participate in off property local shows and event. We also have relaxing trail rides that focus on the therapeutic sides of riding.

Sara Lyons has always been immersed in the horse world and at an early age took the steps necessary to become an instructor and trainer. She worked under some of the best trainers in Canada, while studying Hunter / Jumpers, Dressage and Western. Sara move to Pennsylvania in 2011 with her 3 horses and opened up Underhill Stables in October 2013! Sara is committed to continuing her equine education and believes strongly that horses always have something more to teach us.

What is horsemanship? Horsemanship is an unmounted group lesson teaching us all about horses. Some things we cover are, training, first aid, equine and rider/handler safety, nutrition plus so much more! We hold this class the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
